Capital Authorities Urged to Immediately Distribute Sweaters, Blankets to Elderly as Cambodia Experiences Cold Weather

PHNOM PENH:​ Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng has urged all authorities to immediately distributes the gifts of Prime Minister Hun Sen and wife, Bun Rany Hun Sen such as sweaters, scarf and blankets to the elderly as the country is bracing for a cold weather. The governor says that the distribution must not be later than Sunday this week.

The announcement was made by the Phnom Penh governor on Wednesday during the handover ceremony of Prime Minister Hun Sen and wife to the Association of Elderly People in need at Dangkor district. Apart from the clothing assistance, around 120 members of the association have received $12.

The Association of Elderly People in Phnom Penh has been established in 105 communes as a way to show gratitude to the Khmer ancestors.
